Decompensated DIC is when the body can't keep up. And overt DIC is a clinically evident condition. The condition can be caused by sepsis, trauma, cancer, and obstetric complications.
Treatment approaches include addressing the underlying cause, replacing blood components, using anticoagulants in specific cases, and providing supportive care. Early diagnosis and proper management are key to improving outcomes.
